Wonderful experience! This is a must, especially if your time in Porto is limited. A beautiful way to get an inside view on the city’s most notable sights and Jorge’s outstanding historical knowledge supplements his sense of humor and safe driving-style excellently. I purchased this Airbnb experience as a present for my boyfriend. It was a great surprise! We had amazing weather on a warm and sunny Saturday morning. Jorge picked us up from our hotel and drove is with his cool car around Porto for more than 2 hours. We saw the “must-see” places as well as secret gardens and hidden locations. We were told many interesting stories and information. During the whole experience, COVID-19 safety regulations were applied. In the end, we were recommended a great lunch & wine place as well as the best wine tasting venue in Porto. Thank you Jorge for this amazing experience!

Nous avons passés un très bon moment avec George, il a été très attentionné, disponible. Jorge is the most heart warming and interesting person we’ve ever met.
He was great at bringing Porto to life and showing us the lesser known but more amazing sides to the city.
He knew all the secrets and was happy to share them with us.
We couldn’t believe how much value and info he fit into 2 hours with us. It was well paced and a genuine joy to experience.

Five Stars!! J. Porfirio is an excellent guide, and his small convertible permitted us to experience the small ‘ruelles’ of Porto, in places no normal vehicles can access. Jorge is a good driver, knowledgable, kind, proud of his city, quiet from time to time to allow us to absorb the environs. He gave a complete narrative, including historical highlights, but his tour is different each time, gauged to the guest’s interests. A MUST in Porto! Jorge is always early, so be on time for the departure to a perfectly marvelous experience!

“Authentic” is the best expression I can use for this tour. Due to the elevated setting of Porto, I booked this tour with my mother in mind being she has walking limitations. We had only a 2 day visit to the area and booked the 2 hour tour with Jorge Porfirio upon arrival and must admit he surpassed my expectations!!! In fact, Jorge went above and beyond to assure that we absorbed as much as possible and even helped us organize (at no extra fee) our next day’s activities upon recognizing my mother’s condition. Everything Jorge suggested was perfect for us. We were able to see Porto & Gaia very comfortably from his convertible and ended up booking him again on our last day for a final farewell ride through the city. We are very grateful and content with our tours and would recommend this tour to anyone who aims for a genuine local experience. All of Jorge’s recommendations to restaurants & sites were wonderful and we now feel like we have made a new friend in Portugal.”

“With Jorge, we were able to get a wonderful overview of the city. He was generous with his information and time. He took us to the major viewpoints to see the amazing city from all angles; he pointed out all the churches and discussed when they were built, the history and the different styles. He even took us to a secret church which is not on the tourist trail and which “blew our minds away”. He drives very well and knows his city intimately since he was born there. And we felt very stylish in his low-sling Seat convertible. We even had tourists taking photos of us! We highly recommend Jorge, especially if you have limited time to see the city, as we did!”

Merci bien d’ avoir choisi notre tour de ville pour connaitre Porto. Un matin avec deux Parisiens trés sympa qui m’on permettre de découvrir un petit détail que même les livres et les habitants de Porto ne connaissent plus, et que est une petite part du mur Fernandina du siécle XIV, qui est vraiment caché de vue. Oui je comprends qu’ avoir un tour avec seulement deux heures pour decouvrir la ville c’est trés court, mais si je fait un Airbnb tour de 4 ou 8 heures avec le prix correspondant j’aurai moins clients interessés, et mon succes actuel pourrai se perdre par le prix. Mais oui j’accepte votre sugestion et je vous remercie, j’essayerai d’étudier une solution.

“George Porfirio was the best tour guide we had over the course of our entire trip. Our tour felt unique and thoughtful and was filled with his in-depth knowledge of the city of Porto. He took us to neighborhoods and streets we never would have visited on our own, and that we wouldn’t consider typical “touristy” areas (though we did visit the more famous places as well). He has a great eye for photography and took us to the best spot for sunset shots despite the poor weather.”

It was a visit that I would call low profile, due to the late hours we start, and where we found many of the places that I would like to present you already closed, and to exacerbate the situation a rain with the sunset that could not be more unpleasant. Anyway I tried to do my best in relation to the historical reports and description of the architectural styles, and the places that reveal a little of the secrets of this city where I was born. It has been an incredible experience without parallel. Porfirio connects with people easily and shared his passion about travel and life in such a sincere way, you feel you are talking to a friend who volunteers to be your private guide. He has an unique perspective of the Porto and Portugal, which I found intriguing. He speaks perfect English and French as well. He also recommended a lot of places to be explored by myself afterwards, which is very helpful. I guess I will learn Portuguese after all, so I can partake in his passion and love for his country and people. Big kudos!

Jorge was great. Took us to many secret sites our first guide who grew up in Porto didn’t. He was very generous with his time. Had some great recommendations. I’d strongly encourage people to take this tour, plus you can ride in a convertible! Have signed up for 4 tours on Airbnb. This by far was the best tour.

He suggested we keep the top up, but he was completely amenable to having it open. A convertible is a fabulous way to see the city.
